Bacula Backup Report – what’s new in Bacula reports

The latest version of Bacula Backup Report improves reporting for several job types and introduces practical configuration enhancements. These changes help administrators monitor, review, and troubleshoot a Bacula backup environment more effectively in daily operations.

Bacula Backup Report is an advanced tool for generating HTML reports from a Bacula environment. Reports are delivered as email messages. The tool is highly configurable and supports many Bacula features. It helps administrators receive detailed information about what is happening in their Bacula backup system and makes it easier to identify issues in the environment.

In late April, the project author, Bill Arlofski, published a set of fixes for Bacula Backup Report. The changes include improvements to how information about Bacula Copy Jobs and Migrate Jobs is displayed. They also introduce small enhancements to the report appearance configuration, including the ability to set custom table header colors.

Another new addition is the chk_pool_use_pct option, which allows administrators to set the pool usage warning threshold to a value other than the default 80%. Support for the Bacularis web interface has also been added. All these changes are included in version 2.48 of the script.
